Del. 3.4.1 – Progress of energy efficiency works in the Secondary Municipal School – Negotino

An energy efficient school for the students of Negotino will be ready for the new school year!

Construction activities have  started in the school. St. Cyril and Methodius – Negotino for the upgrade of the energy efficiency of the building. The works include changing the existing windows in the classrooms & wcs with new PVC windows, as well as the installation of solar panels, a system of thermal connection between the main school building and the building of the sports hall of the school.

These activities are part of the project “Energy efficiency in the cross-border area as an indicative factor for the environment policy” with the acronym “enpol-ee” that is funded by the “Interreg – IPA CBC CCI 2014 TC 16 15CB 009” programme. The Secondary Municipal School is one of the four beneficiaries of the project along with Municipality of Pella, Municipality of Negotino and Culture and Development Public Benefit Corporation of the Municipality of Pella.

Contractor of the works is the construction company Anol Impex from Skopje and according to the agreement signed on 17.07.2019 the duration of the construction works is planned for a period of 3 months. The main interventions are planned for the months of July-August in order to be completed before the beginning of the new school year.

According to the signed agreement, the budget of the works of energy efficiency in the school is 67.279 Euros excluding VAT, while the overall budget of the “enpol-ee” project for the Secondary Municipal School “St. Cyril and Methodius” Negotino is 86.740,50 Euro. These funds are 85 percent’s provided by the European Union and 15 percent are from national co-financing.
